Plot:
Udhayakumaran (Vijay) is a brilliant college student specializing in subatomic physics. Despite being offered a prestigious research position at Princeton University, he chooses to remain in India as a lecturer. He falls in love with his student, Vasanthi (Simran), but upon learning of her engagement to another man, he relocates to Chennai. There, he becomes a journalist and befriends Basheer (Vivek), who is later killed in a bomb blast.
